(Article taken from www.landmdollz.net/cuppycakemix)Growing Pains Have you ever been sitting in your desk at school and all of a sudden you get a sharp pain in your stomach? You're sitting there clutching your stomach about to cry? Trust me it's happened to me loads of times. Have you ever wondered why you get that? Well, it's probably a period cramp if you're on your period. You should go tell your teacher that you need to see the nurse and you should tell the nurse about your problem. If you are at home you should lie down, take a nap, take some Pamprin, and drink lots of water. Period cramps are normal and most girls get them just some worse than others. You could also have sore feet or legs or other parts of your body. Don't get worried if you get cramps when you're not on your period. It's probably your hormones acting up. If this happens you should also see the nurse as it can be very difficult to pay attention to the teacher and write things down if you are having a terrible cramp. If you are at home you should lie down, take a nap, and drink lots of water. Just remember that cramps and pains are something most girls get during puberty and you are not the only one. Find the best ways to handle them and you'll be fine! Some good ways to prevent really bad cramps are to exercise, drink lots of water, and don't drink too much caffeine.
